Hats and shades

I was tasked with updating the materials for Cancer Fund for Children’s school fundraising campaign, ‘Hats and Shades’. This is a campaign all about encouraging sun safety towards young children.

This was a project in which I completed the following:

• Applying existing branding

• Logo Design

• Creating resources for schools

1. Idea Inspiration - I looked at the old logo design for the campaign and decided it needed a refresh for the updated materials. I researched child-friendly designs which related to the campaign.

2. Sketching - I created different ideas for how this could look.

3. Designing - I created the logo on Adobe Illustrator and then used it throughout the new materials which I also designed. The mascot stayed the same as he is a well established motif for the campaign.

The outcome was a series of materials which schools could use when taking part in ‘Hats and Shades Day’. It is fun and child-friendly.
